We all have a pair of those old dull scissors. Here is how to sharpen them.
1. Use sand paper. Fold your sandpaper in half, rough sides outwards so that as you cut the rough sides meet the blades.
2. Use aluminum foil. Fold foil into six layers. Cut smoothly through the foil ensuring all the blade touches the foil with each cut. Repeat several times, check sharpness of scissors and repeat if needed.
3. Use steel wool. A steel wool pot scrubber is perfect. Use a large towel to collect the shavings and cut through over and over.
