Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Make them soft and chewy or crispy. Just cook them a bit longer for crispy!



Oatmeal Raisin Cookies


  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • cups of unbleached flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups of old fashioned rolled oats


  1. Prepare the raisins by soaking them in the vanilla and egg for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars.
  4. Sift the flour, spices, baking soda and baking power into the creamed butter mixture.
  5. Stir in the raisin mixture and the oats. Mix well.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
