Smothered Steak

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 slices of chuck steak
  • cup flour
  • ¼ cup oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • peeled potatoes 4 to 5 medium potatoes
  • sliced onions 1/2 medium onion
  • carrots (optional

Instructions

  1. Flour meat by coating in flour
  2. Fry meat on stove until lightly brown
  3. Add ¼ cup of flour with ¾ cup WARM water
  4. Add the flour mixture to frying meat and stir until well mixed
  5. Add another cup of WARM water
  6. Turn stove on simmer for one hour
  7. Add peeled potatoes and onion. Add carrots if you wish.
  8. Stir and cook on simmer for another hour.
  9. Enjoy with your favorite bread and vegetables.
